Dire Forecast

Bill Gross is a very smart and accomplished money manager, and perhaps he is dead on here, but I am not sure what steps to exactly take after reading his comments.

One thing that would certainly help in the long run would be if this year we elected someone other than John McCain or Barak Obama for President. Congressman (and Doctor) Ron Paul would have been ideal. He obviously demonstrated during the early campaigning and debates he understands the economy inside and out and would have actually brought SOLUTIONS to the table if elected President. He also demonstrated during the early campaigning, before the media shut him out, that he was the most popular and the most often researched on line — even more so than Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama— according to Google trend statistics. Even AFTER the media shut him out, he was researched only slightly less than McCain (during the same period of time that the media was ramping up their coverage of both McCain and Obama).

Woe are we Americans. If we continue to be apathetic and in denial of how bad things are without taking action to ensure we have leadership willing to fix our problems (and not be beholden to the special interests), wouldn’t we be wrong to expect any improvement in the future in any way shape or form?

I agree with Bill Gross. The future is bleak as too many Americans will make their decisions based on what information the major media offers and others will think they are “wasting their vote if (they) don’t at least vote for the lesser of two evils”. But isn’t it still true that by voting for one or the other, they will STILL BE VOTING FOR EVIL?? This can only mean further worsening of the economy; weaking of our military by sending more and more troops to fight needless and expensive wars we can not afford; lowering of our standard of living; reduction of freedoms and on and on! It’s really depressing!

Wasn’t Ron Paul advocating going back to the gold standard?
