He was born with it? Not sure I agree! Not sure what he would say. Cause if he was only born with it, that would mean hard work, etc. played less of a role.

Interesting line in the article about Abraham predicting a double in base metals and oil this year. Doesn’t sound very trend following to me. Reporter probably screwed that one up.

I bet he was quoted right. Just cause he thinks that doesn’t mean he is doing anything. Meaning he is a trend follower. When a quote is in the press you need to keep in mind how they trade the markets. That quote is not in the trading system he uses. Make sense?

On the flip side, while Salem is a trend follower, that is how his fund is structured, he is clearly a smart guy who indeed takes fundamental bets on entrepreneurial ventures…and has won many times.

To better make my point…its in his blood. When your born into a family that has the entrepreneur spirit, it goes a long way in you succeeding in any business. If your born with risk takers… when you get out in the world, you don’t perceive “risk” as others would. Therefore you can capitalize on opportunities like he has.

Trend followers still have opinions, even if they don’t act on them. A bookie might like pittsburgh -7, but will be happily take arizona +7 if he gets edge.
